This large vintage Langre butcher knife (not to be confused with the small, snub-nosed Langres pocket knife) comes to us from the Thiers region of France, long renowned as a center of traditional knifemaking. Sized and shaped for butchery, it also excels as an all-around large kitchen knife. It features a rosewood handle with 3 brass rivets and a 1/2 tang stainless steel blade. It measures 15 1/2'' L, with a 10'' blade.
